Things to Do
Island tours with a local guide – Kathleen will inform you and amuse you as she takes you from Portree round the stunning north end of Skye.
Peter will take you on a 2 hour trip out into the Sound of Raasay where you can get close to Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, seals and other wild life. Go fishing in the evening and catch mackerel or Pollock, which is plentiful in high summer.
Take a trip from Uig on the Isle of Skye to Harris, Uist or Lewis our Western Isles neighbours. Leave in the morning after breakfast and return at night in time for dinner.
As well as being a very popular eatery, Aros is a Heritage Centre in Portree. Sit over a leisurely coffee and enjoy the view across to Ben Tianavaig and Portree Bay. Aros has a good selection of books, Scottish CDs and souvenirs for those at home who weren't lucky enough to holiday on the Isle of Skye.
